Wax On? Then Wax Off with Super Blast Off.

Using Super Blast Off is a great way to repurpose glass candle holders, remove wax from surfaces, or clean out you wax warmers.

We've all had a cool candle holder- whether it's a candle stick or a glass container you want to reuse- but there's always the issue of getting the wax out so that it can be repurposed. With everyone getting more into being creative and repurposing items during a time of COVID, finding new uses for cool candle jars should be easy. We've also had hot candle wax spill all over the wall, the table, and our floors- but Super Blast Off made cleaning that mess up a breeze. Or if you've got a collection of wax warmers and need a solution to get the melted wax completely off of the burner, we've got you covered!

Here are our easy tips to removing wax from your burned out candle:

  1. Fill container with hot water and add a teaspoon of Super Blast Off concentrate (our quart bottle is a great option here!). Let it soak for about 3-5 minutes.

  2. Use a butter knife to pop out the remaining bits of candle (it will float to the top once it's loosened).

  3. Use a soft bristle brush or sponge to remove remaining wax residue.

  4. Rinse clean and let dry!

  5. Enjoy using the jar for craft supplies, decor, or whatever else you can think of.

You can use the steps above for removing wax from wax warmers as well, or if you have multiple warmers fill a sink with warm water and some Super Blast Off and let them soak before using a soft bristle brush or sponge to get them clean.

When it comes to getting a waxy mess cleaned up, Super Blast Off is amazing at handling the job. I live in a home with 3 kids and two large dogs, I can't tell you how many times we have had wax spill on hardwood floors, laminate floors, the wall, tables, countertops, doors... perhaps I should reconsider having candles and wax warmers in my home? But Super Blast Off is always there to get the wax cleaned up without leaving behind any residue.

Follow these steps if you have wax on furniture or other hard surfaces:

  1. Scrape the excess wax with an old credit card.

  2. Once excess wax is removed, spray Super Blast Off on surface and let it soak for a minute or two. If the wax is on a vertical surface, spray Super Blast Off on and use your finger or a soft bristle brush to agitate the solution and get it to bubble up allowing it to soak into the wax.

  3. Use a softbristle brush or sponge and clean the area using small circles.

  4. Wipe clean with a warm damp cloth.

  5. Repeat as necessary.

We hope this helps you either clean some unfortunate messes or utilize those old candle jars for something new. Repurposing items is cool- leave us a comment to show us what you did with your upcycled candle jars!
